DIY - Baby Birth Announcement Card
A few months ago I found out I was pregnant and it seems like time is just flying by. I haven’t done or prepped all of the things I saved to my Pinterest board and now it seems like im in a mad dash to do it all.
In addition to forgetting to take pregnancy milestone pictures I’ve also forgotten I need to create some announcement cards.
So here’s my super simple tutorial on how I made a DIY announcement card using my Cricut
Heres what you’ll need
Clear 4” round disk (i ordered some off Amazon and it worked perfectly)
Cricut
Announcement graphic
Cricut weeding tools
Some acrylic paint of your choice
Vinyl (color of your choice)
Transfer paper
Step 1 Create Graphic in design space
Since I haven’t chosen a baby name as yet im going with a simple “hello world”
Step 2 Cut and weed the design
Be sure to attach your design together in Cricut design space so that all of the elements remain in place before cutting. Weeding the design might be a little tricky because the graphics are small but it takes some time and patience.
Step 3 Transfer graphic
Using some transfer paper - align graphic with clear disc and press down to transfer
Step 4 Paint it
To add some pop to your design I would paint the back of my disc to really make the colors stand out
when the paint dries thats it you’re all done!
